Join us for "Get Creative Painting From Your Photos," a workshop taught by award winning Artist and Teacher Dawn Kinney Martin. 

What:  This workshop emphasizes artistic development in a relaxed and fun studio environment.  Regardless of your level of training or ability, you work on your own projects from your own photos, using any medium you choose, in this self-paced class. You are encouraged to pursue individual interests and to further develop your unique style. Dawn will be available for guidance, motivation and demonstrations of technique. There will be class demos as well as individual assistance. This workshop is appropriate for all levels. More advanced painters can bring in more challenging projects. Newer students can get help on basics, like how to get started, getting a good composition, and color mixing. Bring your painting supplies and reference materials and be prepared to work. This workshop hopes to offer a lot of flexibility for the students to explore new ideas and directions or just get past a hurdle or two. Students who register will be encouraged to send in 2 or 3 photos to Dawn before the workshop. You will need to include a little context about why you picked these photos and what you are hoping to achieve. This way we can narrow down the selection and jump right into painting.

When: Tuesday and Wednesday, October 21 and 22, 2025,  9:00 to 4:30 with lunch on your own. (Refrigerator and microwave  available if you want to bring a sack lunch.)

Deadline to register and pay:  To hold your spot, by August 15, send a deposit of $125 by check payable to TAVG and mailed to Michele Hartung, treasurer, 123 Smith Court, Eatonton, GA 31024.   The remaining balance of $100 by check will be due by September 15.    Deposits will be refunded if cancellation notice is given by September 15.  After September 15, there will be no refunds.
